Born and raised in Woodbrook, she also resided in Diego Martin and Chaguanas, and migrated to the US in 1993. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Ryan, Sr. and Sybil Ryan; mother of Richard (Michelle), Paul (Simone), Christopher Jr., Janell (Marsha), Christine, and Marlon Scipio; grandmother of Marjelle, Justin, and Leah Scipio; sister of Irma Richards, Jennifer, John (Jennifer), Joseph “Shane” Jr., Carol, Judylyn, and Andrea Ryan, and Verlene (Paul) Grier; (great) aunt of several including Dave (Joanne), Rachel, and Tenielle Richards, and Kevin, Andrew, and Crystal Ryan; and cousin of the Smiths, formerly of Woodbrook. She is also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. A memorial service for the late Cynthia Scipio was held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
