POLD: It is with great sorrow but peaceful calm that the Pold family of Niagara-On- The-Lake Ontario announces the passing of Grace Margaret Helen Warner-Pold, Nee Warner, on the morning of Saturday 27th August 2016, at the age of 77. Born to Violet & Garrick Warner in Tunapuna, Trinidad, in 1939, she left in 1960 to attend University of Toronto where she met her husband Kaspar and started a lifelong journey that included three children, a diverse career as an educator, NGO director and proprietor of Asian Antique store.
Avid gardner, voracious reader, culinary enthusiast, Grace was a woman in love with life, selfless, generous and full of mischievous goodwill that was a source of endless happiness for her friends and family. She died after a brief bout with cancer, did not suffer and was alert and unafraid up to her last day. She will be mourned forever by her husband Kaspar and three children, Garrick, Justin & Kaja Pold, and her surviving siblings, Joan Bennett, Nee Warner, and Anne Warner.
Her friends are too numerous to list, but they too shall miss her boundless spirit, constant concern for their well-being and unswerving loyalty. Rest in peace Mommy, we will never forget you.
